    Dorita TAKIDO(滝戸ドリタ)

    Dorita, Dorita Takido,

    is an artist, director, and designer based in Tokyo, By combining different functions and senses, and by using technology in parallel, he aims to create an entry point for thinking, to create an experience that shifts conventional senses, or to build a new relationship between humans and living things. In recent years, he has created a work that questions the evolution of robotics, organisms, and plants by attaching artificial muscles to plants, and is currently showing a film at the International Cruise Terminal that considers the endangered eel Leptocephalus robot and humans swimming together. She is currently pursuing a master's degree at the University of Tokyo, searching for a space between research and expression. Major award-winning works include Honorary Mentions (DIGITAL MUSICS & SOUND ART) PRIX ARS ELECTRONICA & STARTS Prize 2017 and New Face Award (Entertainment Division) 18th Japan Media Arts Festival 2014. Adopted the Media Arts Creator Development Support Project in FY2016 and FY2019. Established "SOFT ROBOTICS Collective: School of Life and Machinery" that people can learn biology and robotics as an organizer in 2019. "The Sigh of Eels" which a juvenile leptocephalus robot and a human swim in an Edomae eel in CULTURE GATE to JAPAN "+A+" project, screen at the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, 3rd floor, large LED monitor in 2022.
