Completed undergraduate studies in the Department of Design Informatics at Musashino Art University.
They attempt to open up new points of entry for thought—that is, new boundaries—by assembling and “stitching together” distinct functions and modes of perception, while allowing technology to accompany and support the process. Their practice aims to create experiences that subtly shift the scale of existing perception, and to explore new forms of symbiosis that may reframe the relationship between humans and other living beings.
In recent years, they have produced works that revisit the evolution of living organisms and plants through encounters with robotics, including attaching artificial muscles to plants. They have also presented, at the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, a video installation in which a robot modeled on the leptocephalus larva of the eel swims together with a human, offering a perspective on how imagination might engage with the issue of endangered species. In addition, drawing on research conducted at the University of Tokyo, they have created a work in which the minute amount of electricity generated by microbial fuel cells is applied to other plants, gently encouraging their growth. Through these newly formed circuits of circulation, they seek to uncover the latent connections between humans and nature, and to explore perspectives for rethinking symbiosis.
From the summer of 2025, she will present a long-term installation, “Deep ground Resonance — Resonance in the Abyss of the Earth” (co-created with Dorita Takido and Yasuhiro Suzuki), at the co-creation facility “Comone” on the Nagoya University campus. In this work, sounds traveling through the soil are experienced as vibration, light, and reflections on the water’s surface; the piece is scheduled to be on view until 2028. She is currently enrolled in the Master’s program at the University of Tokyo Graduate School, tracing the fluctuations and crossings between “research” and “artistic expression” through her practice.

Her major recognitions include an Honorary Mention in the DIGITAL MUSICS & SOUND ART category at PRIX ARS ELECTRONICA & STARTS Prize 2017 for Bug’s Beat, a work that allows audiences to experience the footsteps of insects through sound and vibration, and the New Face Award in the Entertainment Division at the 18th Japan Media Arts Festival (2014) for Slime Synthesizer, a formless, fluid musical instrument. She has also been selected three times— in 2016, 2019, and 2024— for the Media Arts Creator Development Support Program.

COMISSION
2025-2028 Public commission,
the Tokai National Higher Education and Research System “Common Nexus” TAKIDO Dorita+ Suzuki yasuhiro ‘Deep ground Resonance’ Nagoya
2022-ongoing　Public commission,
the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal‘The Sighs of Eels‘ Tokyo

SELECTED SOLO EXHIBITIONS
2025 “OPEN SITE 9 ‘Energeia Cycle’,” Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo, 2025

SELECTED GROURP EXHIBITIONS / FESTIVALS
2025 Project to Support Emerging Media Arts Creators Presentation Exhibition ”ENCOUNTERS” TODA building
2024 Ars Electronica Festival 2024 “HOPE” Features Exhibition Yasuaki Kakehi Lab, The University of Tokyo『Well-tangled -Harmony Amidst Chaos-』Linz, Austria
2024 xlab Showcase 2024 “Well-tangled －
2022 JAPAN MEDIA ARTS FESTIVAL special exhibition「AUDIBLE SENSES」Tokyo
2022 The Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2022 YEBIZO MEETS Partnership ProgramAt World’s End, Garden and Interior ーYuichi Higashionna, Dorita Takido AL Tokyo
2022 CULTURE GATE to JAPAN「+A+」 movie works, TOKYO INTERNATIONAL CRUISE TERMINAL Tokyo
2021 The Exhibition of Jack into the Noösphere Japanese garden of Mihama-en Chiba Chiba-city
2020 23rd JAPAN MEDIA ARTS FESTIVAL exhibition
2020 Project to Support Emerging Media Arts Creators Presentation Exhibition ”ENCOUNTERS” Ginza
2018 Matsudo International Science Art Festival
2017 exhibition Ars Electronica Festival & STARTS PRIZE in Berlin
2017 exhibition　Ars Electronica Festival & STARTS PRIZE Nominations Linz ,Austria
2017 exhibition Tweetakt Festival inUtrecht, Netherlands
2017 "Ooinaru nitijyo-The great ordinary-" workshop of Bug's Beat.
